What If I Don’t Have Oyster Sauce?

You can substitute oyster sauce for Hoisin sauce or Teriyaki sauce for similar flavor profiles. Fish sauce is also a good substitute. The flavor may vary, but these are the best substitutes for oyster sauce.

Can I Substitute The Sugar With A Non-Caloric Sweetener?

Yes, you can use stevia or monk fruit sweetener. Add a little at a time because these sweeteners are more potent than sugar sometimes.

Cooking Tips:

  1. The garlic slices should be cooked until slightly golden brown. Don’t burn them or your dish will be bitter.
  2. During the cooking process taste the green beans so you cook them just until tender-crisp or they’re done to your liking.
