Ingredients

For the cake:

  • 1- 15.25 oz box white cake mix
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3 eggs
  • ¼ cup water

  • 1- 21 oz can apple pie filling

For the glaze:

  • 1 cup confectioner’s sugar
  • 1- 1 ½ tbsp whole milk

Instructions

  • Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray and preheat the oven to 350 F.
  • Whisk the white cake mix, ground cinnamon, sour cream, eggs, and water in a large bowl until well combined. Pour this batter into the greased baking dish.
  • Spoon the apple pie filling evenly over the batter (do not mix), and bake for 35 minutes or until golden on top and a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Let the cake cool down for 10-15 mins.
  • Make the glaze by combining the powdered sugar with milk until smooth, and drizzle it over the warm cake.
