Ingredients

  • ½ tbsp olive oil
  • ½ cup onion, chopped
  • 1 lb lean ground turkey
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • Freshly ground pepper to taste
  • ½ cup tomato sauce
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 16 romaine lettuce leaves, washed and thoroughly dried

Instructions

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and heat the olive oil. Brown the ground turkey with the onions and garlic until fully cooked. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Add the spices, tomato sauce, and chicken broth, and simmer until almost all the liquid has evaporated.
  • Stack two lettuce leaves together and fill with about 3 tbsp of meat mixture. Serve immediately with your favorite toppings on the side.
